WNBA Updates----Opening DAy 5/16

The latest in WNBA transactions...who's coming and who's going... Well lately its been all going!

Both Paris sisters have been waived from the respective teams. All I can say is wow! Since the WNBA reduced teams to 10 its very difficult to make one of the leagues teams. In addition to the twins, The Shock have officially released Cheryl Ford and today they waived Christi Thomas and Ivory Latta. I feel bad for Latta because his is the same thing that happened last year, yet in the long run she was picked up by Atlanta...so its possible.

The Liberty traded Ashley Houts for Nikki Blue. This is good for Washington. Washington lost Beard so they may need a back up guard. Blue will not make it to opening day with the Liberty. The Liberty still have to drop 1 player to make 10. Will be a tough choice.

Our neighbors to the North, the Conn. Sun have 15 people on their roster, so they will have to do some major decision making in the next couple of day.

Excited for Opening Day this Sunday....Go New York!
