WNBA: Who will be left out in 2009
With new WNBA roster restrictions capping team rosters at 11 players, some League favorites might not make it. We've already seen the Storm let go Swoopes and the Dream let go of Lennox.
Who will be next?
Placements are still up in the air for some of the following players:
Tina Thompson, Lauren Jackson, Tamecka Dixon, Mwadi Mabika, Nykesha Sales, Penny Taylor, Svetlana Abrosimova, and Ann Wauters
Also keep in mind that the 2009 Draft is set for April and there are quite a few talented players that teams will be looking to draft also.
Yes many businesses are struggling because of economic problems that may now begin to effect pro-sport teams (i.e. Houston) but this puts a huge burden on the health of players who spend their entire off season in Europe where the pay is so much better for them.
I know this is life but is it fair?
Good luck to the ladies and can't wait for the 2009 season to begin!
